Watch: ‘Jealousy Here Is Unbelievable’ – Love Island Winner Chelsea Opens Up About Malta’s Dating Hardships
Winning a reality TV show all about dating doesn’t mean you have it all figured out… especially if you have to deal with a completely different breed of men than what you’re used to.
Love Island Malta Season One winner Chelsea made that point very clear during the last episode of The She Word podcast which was all about women and men.
Kicking off the conversation by pointing out the differences between English and Maltese boys, Chelsea told Trudy Kerr and her fellow podcast guests that she’s found herself coming across more “mummy’s boys” on the island.
“You’re very traditional, the Maltese,” Chelsea continued, going on to say she founds it “a lot harder” because of what seem to be slightly more common characteristics to the Maltese islands even if other countries have the same issues.

“The biggest thing that I noticed, that I hate the most, is jealousy,” Chelsea went on. “And jealous here, in Malta, is unbelievable, men and women, I’m not saying just men, because I’ve never seen anything like the jealousy here.”
And with Tezara Saliba saying the latter was probably down to how dense the island is and Alexia Demicoli also agreeing with Chelsea, it only took a couple of seconds for everyone to appear to be on the same page when it comes to Malta’s dating hardships!
