Renowned Italian entertainer Lorella Cuccarini has set foot on our island “for the very first time” and has announced that she will be taking to the stage in Fosos to host a concert featuring some equally big names this September.

Cuccarini posted photos of herself in Malta to social media, donning a bright pink suit and smiling from ear to ear.

The caption read: “I am in Malta for the first time – a warm, hospitable country with many similarities to Italy. The Maltese public has always followed Italian television with great interest. Many have learned Italian thanks to this. The affection towards me has always been incredible: Finally, I can embrace everyone. See you on 28th September for a musical event titled: ‘Una Notte Con Le Stelle.’ I will be the host.”

Beloved Maltese media personality Keith Demicoli has hinted at an exciting collaboration with the Italian performer in a video posted to social media.

The text in the video teases, “See you on the 29-8-24 at Fosos.” Meanwhile, the caption reads: “Trying to play it cool while meeting and working with one of my all-time Italian idols. Her energy, talent, and charisma have inspired millions.”

In another clip, Cuccarini told Keith, “For the past 40 years, I have felt the love of the Maltese public, even through letters I’ve received. So many people have travelled to come and watch me perform.” She continued, adding that her number one fan is a Maltese woman called Doris Aquilina who has been supporting her from her early years.

Cuccarini is a popular dancer, TV presenter, singer, and actress in Italy, renowned for her roles as a performer, host, and teacher on prime-time Italian shows such as Sanremo, Amici di Maria De Filippi, Striscia la Notizia, and many more.

The September concert at the Granaries in Floriana will also feature some other massive names in the Italian scene, including the likes of singer Al Bano and the group Ricchi e Poveri.
