7 Maltese Charities You Can Give To This Christmas
Now that we’re inching closer to Christmas, there’s no better time to give back to our community. Here are a list of some charities and initiatives that you might want to get involved with these holidays.
This isn’t a complete list, and there are way more out there. But these are a couple to get you started off with.
1. YMCA Valletta
YMCA offers its services to the homeless in Malta, including emergency shelter, 18 months care programme, psychological education programs, among more.
You can donate €4.66 to the organisation by sending a blank message on 50618088.
2. Inspire Malta
Inspire provides support to people with disability in Malta. They provide educational, therapeutic and independent living services for children and adults.
3. Happy Paws Charity Organisation
With a mantra of ‘adopt don’t shop’, Happy Paws is a community for stray animals by providing neutering and care services, while also promoting a stray dog adoption scheme and various other programs.
4. Sponsor My Future
Sponsor My Future is a Maltese non profit organisation which enables donors to directly help a child living in the Ruiru slums, Kenya.
They’re looking to get together a team to run the Malta Half Marathon and raise some money and awareness for their cause. And it’s one great way to slash off that Christmas weight.
5. Red Cross Malta
The Red Cross Malta volunteers and offer health and rescue services as well as humanitarian and welfare aid.
6. Żibel
Żibel is an eNGO that isn’t looking for your money, but your commitment to keeping Malta sparkling clean.
7. Lovin Istrina
We’ve set up a Zaar fundraising campaign with the hopes of raising €5,000 for L-Istrina… and every €500 milestone will see us taking up nine hilariously embarrassing double dares (and one big bonus one).
Giving to a great cause and laughing at our expense? What’s not to love?
