Dismembered Cats That Were ‘Butchered Into Pieces’ Have Started Showing Up In Paola

Yesterday evening, local animal welfare page Time For Change posted a shocking Facebook warning for cat owners in Paola.

Apparently, someone is leaving bits and pieces of butchered cats on St. George Street in Paola, leading to horrified passers-by sending in photos to Time For Change.

“From the looks of it, it was clear that a human did this and not an animal,” Time For Change said, refusing to attach any photos due to their highly graphic nature.

The case is currently in the hands of the authorities, but we reached out to Time For Change for more information

This newsroom has seen the photos and can confirm that the butchering seems to have been done by someone who knew what they were doing. The images are too explicit to share, but show mutilated body parts and cuts made at joints which would usually mean that whoever has done this heinous act has some sort of experience.

The culprit is currently still at large, but with investigations underway let’s hope the criminal is brought to justice before any more parts appear on the roads of Paola. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Paola police branch or Time For Change directly.
