The #LovinMiliedChallenge AKA The Overwhelming Kindness Of The Maltese

When we launched the #LovinMiliedChallenge at the end of November, we couldn’t have imagined just how much the Maltese public would pull through to make this Christmas extra special for some of our islands’ most deserving.
You really pulled it out of the bag, and from the bottom of our hearts, we’d like to thank each and every one of you who contributed to the #LovinMiliedChallenge.
Every single present that passed through our office doors was prepared with so much love, thought, care and kindness that it warmed our hearts and made our first Christmas here at Lovin Malta a very memorable one indeed.
Here are just a few milestones we encountered on the lead up to the big day…
At first we weren’t so sure if anyone would take part…Until the very first box arrived on the boss’ desk!

And they kept on coming…

Some challenge acceptors even brought treats for the Lovin Malta team with them!
Soon enough some cool companies started getting involved…
And some even made it a Christmas challenge for the whole company to take part in!
Even your four-legged friends got in on the fun!

We got to meet loads of wonderful Lovin Malta readers when they came to drop off their gifts…
By Christmas week, the Valletta office was full.
Guzi from Tarxien Youth Club came to play Santa first, loading the presents into his gorgeous vintage car…
The NGO representatives who came to collect gifts were ever so lovely and thankful…

We even got to meet some of the adorable residents of the care homes that you bought gifts for!

There was a point where we needed to call in a few favours… Thankfully you had our backs!

We made our way to Gozo General Hospital where we loaded up two stretchers full of presents for the elderly residents of the care home…

A certain older lady was delighted to have Muxu read out her Christmas card!
By Friday, our boardroom was spick and span and back to normal…

But we had just one more drop off at Mount Carmel’s children’s unit on yesterday’s sunshiny Christmas Eve…
