Over 160 Kilos Of Waste Collected From Sa Maison Woodland By BAT Malta And Coast Is Clear
British American Tobacco Malta (BAT Malta) recently collaborated with the environmental NGO Coast is Clear to conduct a cleanup activity at the Sa Maison woodland.
This initiative is part of BAT Malta’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, emphasising their dedication to environmental stewardship and community support.
The cleanup event was a significant effort, with the BAT Malta team successfully collecting over 160 kilos of litter.
Clint Bajada, the Country Manager of BAT Malta, expressed pride in partnering with Coast is Clear for this project. He emphasised that such initiatives are integral to the company’s ethos and its purpose of building A Better Tomorrow.
Mark Galea Pace, the Founder of Coast is Clear, also highlighted the importance of this collaboration. He noted that partnerships like this showcase the power of collective action in preserving natural environments and underscore the role of corporate engagement in environmental conservation and community welfare.
This cleanup activity is a part of BAT Malta’s broader ESG strategy, which includes various activities like tree planting, enhancing public recreation areas, installing public ashtrays, and supporting different social NGOs.
