Birkirkara’s Feast Shines Bright In Beautiful Bridal Dress By World-Renowned Fashion Designer
Australian fashion designer Jason Grech has been showered with 20 years worth of praise in the industry, but the celebrated Australian hasn’t forgotten his humble Maltese roots. Recognising both his family’s heritage and last weekend’s feast in Birkirkara, Jason took to Instagram to show off a gorgeously designed dress featuring a whole lot of Malta.
“Today, the feast of St. Helena is celebrated in Malta,” Jason told his nearly 23,000 strong followers. “The G?aqda Mu?ikali Sant Elena which my grandfather led for 35 years celebrates with its village.” He went on to show off a dress that he designed, this time with a revised version featuring the band’s logo.
“Together, we are one,” Jason continued. “Congratulations on 99 extraordinary years.”
Shown off by young Maltese model Giulia Bartoli, the exquisite dress features a mixture of strong floral imagery, along with a copious amount of bling to show off a glorious crown. And of course, the Sant’ Elena band logo shining bright.
Bringing the beautiful dress to life was a team as Maltese as the inspiration itself.
Helping Jason and Giulia with the vision was Neville Zammit on hair, Jean Paul Zammit on make-up, and photographer Matthew Spiteri. Sharing additional snaps from the shoot, the team gave their own fans closer looks at the dress and the day, from moments by the town’s day market to a banda on the front porch of a very lucky house.
Jason Grech began formal training in fashion back in 1997. From his workshop and showroom in North Melbourne, Jason has become one of the most highly recognised and awarded names in Australian couture fashion today.
From beautiful brides to best-dressed celebrities, each gown is meticulously created by hand to the impeccable standard. And of course, they’re all painstakingly beaded by hand.
