Għaxaq’s spontaneous Carnival celebrations came to a spectacular climax last night… and one of its most popular names behind it really did bring the heat again.

Tattooist and Carnival enthusiast Martin Gafa’ has been known to come up with some Carnival-winning costumes over the years, and yesterday was no exception, with the young man transforming into a perfect replica of the house from the popular 1960 horror-mystery Psycho.

From a lit-up red interior and a scary mask at the heart of it all, Martin managed to yet again stand out in the already-awesome Għaxaq street carnival, echoing last year’s costume when he had a whole massive pirate ship as a mask, and definitely building from Sunday’s costume, when he went super incognito dressing up as a very believable air vent.

Lovin Malta joined Martin last night to document his process and reveal some incredible BTS from the Għaxaq carnival. Stay tuned for that coming out later!
