Group Activities You Need To Force Your Maltese Friends Into Doing This Weekend

Picking out an activity with your friends can be a bit of a hassle. Everyone will find something to complain about or disagree over. This time, you will be the one on charge of your group. Channel your inner dictator and force them into these activities anyway, because that’s what friends are for. Make your buddies appreciate democracy again.

Here are eight group activities you can do with your friends in Malta this weekend.

1. Laser Tag

We know you secretly hate your friends deep down. They’re cool and all, but sometimes they really annoy you. That’s why you will enjoy shooting each other in a make-pretend game.

There’s no better way to release your pent-up anger or annoyances that build-up over time.

Book a session or two at one of Malta’s laser tag spots like this or this.

2. Give them a new culinary experience

Is there anything y’all never tried? Be it Afghan, Lebanese, sushi or a big plate of local bebbux, you really should open up to the wonderful world of amazing food.

There’s nothing like exposing yourself to delicious new mouth experiences with the people you love (because let’s face it, you do love them).

3. Volunteer at a local dog shelter

Dogs are as fun as ever, and volunteering will give you the chance to walk a dog each, which is pretty cool.

You might also end up taking a pooch home, who knows?

4. Maltese Movie Marathon

But with a twist. Watch some of these local classics with your favourite humans. OK fine, they’re series not movies, but they’re still amazing. Trust us.

The laughs and tears of cringe they will bring to your eyes are impossible to believe. You can even watch some of Malta’s film veteran collection here.

5. Have you ever tried fishing?

Seriously, it’s a good way to catch up and have a quiet night out by the sea.

The weather is still OK-ish, so you won’t have to worry about being too cold. You can just settle down by the sea with your fishing rod, some homey snacks and a thermos filled with some warm coffee.

If you actually do catch something, you might even try cooking it later on.

6. Please go on a hike

There are so many great hiking spots on the island… you’ll be spoilt for choice!

Maltese nature is sometimes often left unappreciated or flat-out ignored, so why not go out and explore our cool surroundings?

Who knows maybe the whole thing will turn into an impromptu picnic. With pastizzi.

7. Throw a backyard picnic

Because regular picnics are for people who like to make an effort.

Just plop yourselves outside and enjoy a fun day in your own yard. No need for coolers since the fridge will be like, a minute away. Don’t forget to bring along some wine.

8. Host a games night

This will make or break your friendship. Seriously.

You will either bond like glue or you’ll end up calling each other cheaters and liars. Whichever way it goes, just enjoy it and go with the flow.
