Here are the costs of some gym memberships across the island:
1. Lord’s Gym and SCRAM are some of the cheapest options at €55 a month for a one-month membership.
2. Challenger Fitness Centres offer a tiered membership ranging from €50 to €60 depending on how many locations you would like to have access to.
3. Tal-Qroqq Fitness Centre and Studio Fifteen currently offer one-month gym memberships at €60 a month.
4. A one-month membership at the vastly popular 24/7 Fitness Club will cost you €65. YUE will also cost you €65 a month. Reflex Tigne is also €65 euros a month.
5. Cynergi advertises their continuous memberships at €85 but also provides the option of an off-peak membership at €60. Fort Fitness offers a peak membership of €95 a month with an off-peak membership at €70 per month.
6. Newly opened Truxton Fitness in Trident Park offers one month memberships for €70, and you can even get 10% if you take advantage of their Referral Scheme and bring someone new along with you.
6. Sky Spirit charges €90 a month for a membership but also offers an off-peak membership at a much more affordable €55.
Though the prices have been increasing over the last few years, all of the gyms mentioned above offer discounted rates for students and couples as well as discounts on other amenities and parking at the gyms.
Everyone has to make a buck somewhere and no doubt these prices have been influenced by inflation.
Some may say that those prices are more than justified and in fact, not that expensive. For those unwilling to pay these prices, jogging is always a free alternative whilst other gym equipment such as yoga mats and some dumbbells are rather cheap investments that will last.
