Bike safety is always somewhat of a hot topic in Malta, considering the amount of rentals available at every tourist spot and the lack of protective clothing provided, you would at least think that when leasing a bike to two people you would also hand over enough helmets…
Not today, though, as Facebook page Malta Dizastru Totali uploaded this video titled: Easy Rider
Our only guess as to what happened is that someone’s flatmate woke up late for work and needed a ride into town. Upon noticing that the rider only had one helmet they jumped into action and thought on their feet – sufficing a bucket as adequate protection.
Either that, or the passenger just really didn’t want to be recognised. But hey – at least they wore protection.
