Watch: Ħal Farruġ Fire Triggers ‘Explosion’ And Billowing Smoke Clouds
Witnesses in Luqa report seeing billowing columns of smoke emerging from a fire which seems to have broken out.
One witness claimed to have “heard an explosion”.
Police told Lovin Malta that the fire broke out at approximately 10.20am in Ħal Farruġ, Luqa, but could not confirm any more details about the fire, or any reported explosion.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing, and a fire engine was near the scene.
