Maltese Woman Completely Refurbishes Cat Village In Ta’ Qali With Handmade Houses
Yesterday, Sherry Ann Demicoli, a Maltese woman who feeds and cares for approximately 20 cats a day, completely refurbished the cat village in Ta’ Qali with stunning colourful houses to accommodate the local strays.
The kennels were produced by a Maltese carpenter who designed the houses exactly as she directed by showing him a picture of her vision.
Overall, the 12 houses took a few months to make and were placed in Attard’s cat village (which was previously pretty run down).
While she didn’t have the official green light from the local council, she hopes (as do we) that they will allow the houses to stay and hopes that they’ll be a staple of the community.
Sherry received tons of positive feedback from locals and passers-by who congratulated her for her selfless act, particularly on the animal-loving Facebook page RUBS PUPPY LOVE, with a post shared there getting over 1,000 positive reactions.
