Coldplay, Smokie And Queen: Għaxaq Music Festival Is Gonna Be Rockin All Week Long

The Għaxaq Music Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary with three international music acts this week… and it’s all free!
In the midst of all this summer buzz, Għaxaq have gone ahead and raised the bar with three awesome acts that will rock your socks off all week long.
And yes, it’s another free concert…but we’re not complaining!
Performing at Għaxaq grounds tomorrow are award-winning tribute band ‘Ultimate Coldplay’, who will be recreating Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ tour with authentic costumes, stage mannerisms, fireworks, visuals and of course that distinctive Coldplay sound.
Returning for the second time, and headlining the Wednesday of Għaxaq Music Festival, are rock n’roll elite ‘Smokie’ who will be performing songs off their latest EP (yes they still make music) as well as classics such as ‘If You Think You Know How To Love Me’ and of course the notorious… ‘Living Next Door To Alice’.
It seems like Smokie love Malta so much that they decided to arrive a couple of days early and take a mini holiday before their show!
Closing off the Għaxaq Music Festival on Saturday 10th are UK’s most exciting Queen tribute band, ‘UK Queen’.
Fronted by Alex Koronka, UK Queen will be returning to Malta once again to bring you an authentic rock n’roll experience and will be closest you can get to Freddie Mercury and co.
Bands are expected to start at around 8 pm according to the event page. Għaxaq have even provided a map with all allocated parking for you, so there’s literally zero reasons for you not to come!
