LMA FAQ: From Tickets To Munchies, Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The Lovin Music Awards
Things are starting to get very real in the run-up to the Lovin Music Awards. Voting has closed and tickets are selling out fast. Our performers are getting ready, and so should you!
To make sure you have the best time at the LMAs, we’ve prepared a list of Frequently Asked Questions so you can your fully aware of how things are going to go down on the big night.
Take a quick look at these so you don’t find yourself worrying about anything else but who is going to win an award on the 19th of October
1) What can I expect from the show?
The Lovin Music Awards is more than an awards show.
The night will also be a concert featuring one-off performances from 15 of Malta’s biggest musical acts bringing their own flair, style and even surprise collaborations on the night.
The acts performing on the night are:
Ira Losco, Red Electrick, No Bling Show, The Travellers, Michela, Owen Leuellen, Luke Chappell, Eddie Fresco, The New Victorians, Lapes, Fuzzhoneys, Kapitlu 13, Giorgia Borg, Gaia Cauchi, Maxine, and Kevin Paul.
Every single artist will be bringing something new and one-off to their performances, and you’re not going to want to miss this.
After years of inactivity, No Bling Show are back for one night only, opening the show alongside dynamic duo The New Victorians. We won’t give too much away, but expect NBS’ classic brand of no-holds-barred street spitting mixed with The New Victorians’ theatrical epicness in a hybrid performance that’ll definitely go down in Maltese music history.
Lapes and Kapitlu 13, on the other hand, will be setting aside an underground beef eons in the making for a special double performance, and Eddie Fresco is already warning everyone that a massive moshpit is coming to W21. Not to mention Gaia and Kevin Paul bringing the heat with a special (and probably very steamy) performance. Now take all of that, and multiple that with over a dozen of the island’s biggest artists. Yeah, we thought so.
Some of Malta’s biggest names from social media to sports and everything in between will also be present, announcing each award and the winners.
Oh, and when the show’s over, the night won’t be! We also have an epic after-party planned in the same venue, so dancing shoes are definitely recommended.
2) Is there a dress code?
There isn’t a dress code, but save your coolest and funkiest outfits for the evening; we want everyone to bring their own unique style to the show.
3) Will there be an open bar?
There won’t be an open bar, but there will be a bar serving all the drinks you could ever want to celebrate the big night in style.
4) Will there be allocated seating?
This will be a standing show.
We want you to dance and celebrate all night long… and you can’t do that sitting down!
5) Is there an age restriction?
Yes; only people 17 and over can attend the Lovin Music Awards.
6) Will there be transport available for the evening?
Our official transport partners Malta Public Transport will be providing free shuttle buses from the Paola centre between 7:30pm and 9:30pm to right outside the venue, WH21. The service will leave from the Pjazza bus stop.
