This Album Launch Was Easily The Coolest Maltese Gig Ever

Brikkuni launched their third album Rub Al Khali last weekend during two sold-out nights, and it was absolutely fucking insane.
Beyond the band’s flawless interpretations and Mario Vella‘s larger than life personality taking centre stage, the performance saw some awesome stage design and lighting courtesy of Malta’s amazing new company Late Interactive.
20 bulbs were manually operated by Late Interactive from computers to sync up to the music
The lighting setup also had bright hanging LED strips for those more dramatic moments
The centrepiece was a huge, 1,000 Watt bulb that was over 60 years old
Late Interactive wanted something which could reflect Brikkuni’s new songs, which are way darker than their usual numbers
But that didn’t stop the band from having the time of their lives
Late Interactive have also uploaded the first video from the night, the full performance of Brikkuni’s Għaxar Snin.
All the above footage was shot by Franco Rizzo from DANCEORDIE.
This was Late Interactive’s latest endeavour, and with insane tailor-made lighting setups for each and every party they’ve done, we absolutely cannot wait to see what they have in store for us in the future!
