WATCH: Malta’s Junior Eurovision Song Has Just Been Revealed And It’s Already A Massive Hit With International Fans
The song that will represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (and hopefully bring back home the gold again) has finally been revealed ahead of the competition in November.
We Are More is what 14-year-old Eliana Gomez Blanco will be performing in Poland next month and after just one listen of it, we know it’s going to be a massive hit.
The song is an empowering and uplifting pop ballad that features both Maltese and English lyrics which gives it that patriotic and unique edge.
Eliana has mastered singing in different languages (having auditioned with the French-Italian song Sto Male (Je Suis Malade)) and pulls off this blend of English and Maltese lyrics just as beautifully.
The video has already exceeded 45k views on YouTube since it was released on Saturday and people in the comments sections are already putting it in their top five songs for the competition.
“Malta is here to seal the crown!” one person commented. “And they actually sing in Maltese. How amazing.”
“It seems 2019 is Malta’s year of BOPS,” another added, with many others reminding fans of Michela’s super-catchy Chameleon earlier this year at Eurovision. “Seriously, everyone in Malta can sing, I love it,” another added. Why, thank you.
This year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 24th of November 2019 in Poland.
Good luck Eliana, we know you’ll smash it!
