Shark Tank entrepreneur Lisa Magri Overend wowed street goers with her powerful vocals in Amsterdam when she joined a busker to belt out Lady Gaga’s Shallow.

Lisa was on a trip in the City of Canals when she and her family bumped into a local busker asking the crowd to offer up an eager performer willing to duet with him.
“While walking through one of the buzzing streets in Amsterdam, my mum, sister and I stopped to listen to a fantastic busker. He called out to the crowd asking if there was anyone interested in joining him for a duet.”
As he started to strum the first chords of the widely popular Lady Gaga tune, Shallow – a song Lisa said she “truly loves to sing”- her family began pushing her through the crowd.
“With a slightly nervous smile but still filled with excitement, I decided to join in,” Lisa fondly explained.
In the video you can hear how Lisa’s first note sent waves of excitement throughout the audience – even a fellow busker couldn’t contain his shriek of surprise.
“The performance drew an even bigger crowd and the adrenaline was captivating,” Lisa recounted.
Despite it being her first time busking, Lisa isn’t new to the world of performing. She trained in musical theatre for 13 years and was able to refine her singing, dancing, and acting skills.
Better still, this isn’t the first time Lisa’s talents have been recognised and praised. The triple-threat garnered the attention of all Five Shark Tank investors who wanted a piece of her idea.
Right now, her company Hooked Creative Space is thriving as she designs, develops, and sells hand made products such as plant hangers, dreamcatchers and handbags, through the macramé knotting technique.
