13-year-old singer Yulan Law made her latest musical competition comeback, wowing all three coaches on The Voice Kids Malta last night.

Despite her young age, Yulan has already garnered significant musical experience, having made it to the final of the 2020 Malta’s Got Talent, as well as the finals of the 2019 San Remo Junior Malta and the 2019 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

She delivered an impeccable performance of Irene Cara’s Out Here On My Own and it wasn’t long before Destiny turned her chair, signalling her intent to mentor the young singer throughout the competition.

“I’m looking for a powerhouse singer and as soon as I heard you sing, I knew I wanted you on my team,” she said.

Fellow coaches Owen Leuellen and Gianluca Bezzina also turned their chairs in appreciation, although they acknowledged that Destiny would be an ideal mentor.

Yulan did indeed choose Destiny and the 2021 Eurovision singer didn’t hide her joy as she hugged the young star.
