Project Green, the new government entity tasked with creating new green and open spaces, has completed an upgrade of the Ta’ Qali dog park.

New accessories and obstacles have been installed, along with new fencing made of recycled material, benches and a canopy to provide shade.

Project Green CEO Steve Ellul emphasised the importance of security, noting that the park has been surrounded by a two-metre high fence and a metre-high fence to create distance between the small dogs’ park and one for larger dogs.

He confirmed that Project Green will continue to work on other open spaces dedicated to dogs, including in the southern part of Malta.

Environment Minister Miriam Dalli thanked Project Green’s workers for their dedication.

“The objective of the regeneration and creation of open spaces is to be enjoyed by everyone. With dedicated spaces and accessories, we ensure that these spaces are safe for our dogs as well,” she said.

The dog park in Ta’ Qali is open between 6.30am and 8.30pm during winter and between 6.30am and 7.30pm during summer months.
