Second Turtle Nest Of The Season Found At Għadira Bay

Malta’s turtle nesting season is picking up pace as the second nest of 2025 has just been discovered at Għadira Bay.

The nest was spotted by volunteers from Nature Trust – FEE Malta, who immediately reported it to the Environment and Resources Authority.

Both teams arrived on site to secure and protect the area shortly after the discovery. With loggerhead turtles classified as a globally endangered species, every nest is vital.

Authorities are reminding the public to report any turtle or nesting activity immediately by calling ERA on 2292 3500 or Nature Trust Malta on 9999 9505.
