Malta’s Teddy Teuma Ranked Higher Than Højlund, Garnacho, Doku And Other Football Stars In Latest FIFA Game
If you’re playing the latest FIFA game (yes, we know it’s technically called EA SPORTS FC™ 24, but that’s kind of like asking someone to stop calling it Twitter and actually start calling it X), you might want a certain Maltese player on your side. Specifically, Teddy Teuma.
The 3o-year-old midfielder who plays for the national team and the Ligue 1 club Reims, Teuma has had some particularly impressive highs over the course of last year. And it sure shows, because EA Sports gave him an impressive total ranking of 79. And what does that mean? Well, Teuma outranks some very popular footballers out there… including ones from a bunch of Premier League giants.
For just a quick taste of how good Teuma’s rating is, consider this: the Maltese footballer ranks higher than Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund and Alejandro Garnacho, Liverpool’s Curtis Jones, Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah and Manchester City’s Jérémy Doku.
And the 30-year-old isn’t alone in his ranking, with players such as Harry Maguire also joining him in 733rd out of the over 17,000 footballers on the list.
In August 2022, Teuma’s rousing captain’s speech ahead of his former club Royal Union Saint-Gilloise’s Champions League qualifying match against Rangers had gone viral. One year later, he was making an impressive impression on Ligue 1, scoring two incredible goals and serving an awesome assist in his third appearance in the French league.
