San Ġiljan’s Jake Bonavia Crowned Water Polo Premier League Player Of The Year

San Ġiljan’s Jake Bonavia was honoured as the water polo Premier League player of the year during an award ceremony last night.

Jake, who also plays with the national water polo team, won the prestigious award at the BoV awards ceremony last night.

These are all the other awards that were handed out last night.

Player of the Year: First Division League – Julian Valletta

Player of the Year: Women’s League – Eyla Schembri

Best Coach: Premier Division League – Giannis Katrouzanakis

Best Coach: First Division League – Sasa Music

Best Coach: Women’s League – Aurelien Cousin

Best Goalkeeper: Premier Division League – Jake Tanti

Best Goalkeeper: First Division League – Miguel Farrugia

Best Goalkeeper: Women’s League – Kursty Plumpton

Best Foreigner: Premier Division League – Giacomo Cannella

Best Foreigner: First Division League – Fran Varela

Best Foreigner: Women’s League – Morgan McDowall

Player of the Year: Under 20 – Sam Gialanze

Player of the Year: Under 18 – Julian Valletta

Player of the Year: Under 16 – Shailon Cutajar Casha

Player of the Year: Under 14 – Giulio Massa

Best Referee: Massimo Angillieri

Speeches at the awards ceremony were delivered by Aquatic Sports Association of Malta President Karl Izzo, BoV chief operations officer Ernest Agius, and Sports Minister Clifton Grima.
