WATCH: Young Maltese Football Star Gives Smashing Interview After His Debut With Rangers FC
People are applauding 18-year old Miles Beerman all over social media and international sports media. Being branded as the “Maltese prodigy”, Beerman last night played his debut game with his new team – Rangers FC, and is being hailed as one of the best things about it.
Aside from all the online praise, Beerman gave a smashing post-game interview which showed off his charm, maturity – and basically just made us go all warm and fuzzy inside with pride!
Here’s what we loved most about the young Maltese star’s interview.
1. His immediate shout out to Malta
When asked if he would ever forget his debut moment, Beerman replied, “definitely not, since I was a little kid from Malta – just a wee island in the middle of the Mediterranean [where] there’s loads of talent – I’ve always had a dream and all I ever wanted to do was be a professional footballer.”
2. His focus and maturity
Hard to tell that this guy is only 18 when he describes the way he prepped for the match when he only found out he was playing a day before!
3. When he repped the shorties
When asked how he approached the fact that he was matched up against a far taller opponent, Beerman owned his slighter stature and said that focusing on tactics and analysing his opponent’s game style got him through it.
4. His humble and positive attitude about Rangers FC’s loss
If only more people could take things in their stride with such ease and dignity!
5. His perfectly coiffed hair
Seriously, his whole post-game-interview look was on point.
