Machine Gun-Brandishing Tech Mogul With One Of The Most Bizarre Life Stories Ever Coming To Malta
His surname is recognised all over the world. He came up with the concept of anti-viral software before most people were even aware that computer viruses existed. People have called him everything from a prophet to a murderer, and he’s even announced plans to run for US President in 2020. Now, John McAfee has just been revealed as the surprise key speaker at Malta’s Blockchain Summit.
Whether you know of the 72-year-old British-born American citizen thanks to his highly successful McAfee Antivirus launched in the late 80s or you’ve read about his outrageous life story, there’s no denying that the guy is as unique as they get.
McAfee has worked for some of the biggest industry giants out there, from Xerox to NASA. Now, the tech-mogul-turned-rockstar-turned-crypto-prophet has gone on record to make some infamous remarks on the world’s biggest talking points. In trying to predict Bitcoin’s meteoric rise, for example, he’s gone on record multiple times to say that he will gladly eat his own dick if he were to be proven wrong. And considering he’s currently hailed as one of the top five crypto personalities on the planet, this guy knows what he’s saying.
if not, I will eat my dick on national television.

When I predicted Bitcoin at $500,000 by the end of 2020, it used a model that predicted $5,000 at the end of 2017. BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bircoin at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my dick if wrong. pic.twitter.com/WVx3E71nyD

With a character that’s larger than life, McAfee definitely doesn’t shy away from being one of the most controversial figures in the tech world.
Back in 2013, the entrepreneur had recorded a video which saw him read enraged letters by people who wanted to uninstall the anti-virus software he had helped engineer over three decades ago. The video features everything from bath-salt sniffing, scantily-clad female companions to a closing shot where McAfee just decides to shoot his laptop as a solution.
Earlier this summer, he also claimed he had been poisoned by “incompetent enemies”, taking to Twitter to warn the culprits that they “will soon understand the true meaning of wrath.”
And for those who did this – You will soon understand the true meaning of wrath. I know exactly who you are. Youh had better be gone. pic.twitter.com/URgz5BtMLF

Now, John McAfee is bringing his own eccentricity – along with his absolute mastery of the topic of cryptocurrencies – to our tiny Mediterranean islands for what is shaping up to be an extremely interesting Malta Blockchain Summit.
Making the surprise announcement earlier today, the organisers of the summit said they were super excited to welcome McAfee as one of the headline acts.
The first of its kind to ever be organised in the country, the Malta Blockchain Summit will feature 100 speakers… including Prime Minister Joseph Muscat. Being held on the 1st and 2nd of November, the summit is expected to welcome some 4,000 delegates.
Other prominent individuals who have already confirmed their attendance include Max Krupyshev, Gordon Einstein, Alex Lightman, MGA’s Joseph Cuschieri, Director for ARQ Group JP Fabri, Sally Eaves, Silicon Valley investor Tugce Ergul, Karl Schranz and Pavel Kravchenko.
