‘Patata Lover’ Kyle, ‘Disastrous Romance’ Marie And ‘Almost Perfect’ Allen: Love Island Malta Announces More Contestants
Love Island Malta has announced three more stars – Kyle, Marie Christie, and Allen – to round up the cast gracing our screens every Sunday at 8.50pm for the next six weeks.
After yesterday’s first three contestants were announced – we couldn’t wait to see the rest.
Kyle Curmi is a 26-year-old cabin crew member with a chest tattoo he doesn’t love. He got it when he was dating a girl who loved tattoos. They aren’t going steady anymore.
“People don’t have to make too much conversation when they’re around me. I’ve been through so much in life that I can just talk, talk, talk.”
Kyle says he doesn’t have a “type” – but admits to being a “patata” guy “all the way”.
“First I look at the eyes and the smile, and then the patata,” he said.
Kyle admits to having an angry streak and doesn’t like people talking about him behind his back.
Interesting choice, applying to get on this show, Kyle.
The next contest is Marie Christie – a 24-year-old Gozitan Nurse (Happy International Nurses Day!) – who has been asked out by patients before.
“And not just patients.”
“Boys tend to notice my lips,” she said, “And my love life is a disaster”.
Marie Christie is done with toxicity, and wants to find “a nice boy on Love Island Malta, not a bad boy”.
If one of these nice boys is wearing an appealing scent of cologne, it may be game over – but those that do should be prepared.
“I get jealous immediately. When I’m jealous I stop thinking. I’ll do anything for him to give me attention.”
25-year-old Allen Piscopo – yet another cabin crew member (and environmental scientist) – describes himself as a “charismatic introvert”.
“You can never be perfect, but I think I’m on the road towards it.”
Allen is attracted to people with nice eyes and laughs, and is looking for a “tall, brunette woman with green eyes”.
That’s a fairly specific (tall) order. Do you have someone in mind, Allen?
“The most adventurous thing I’ve done with a woman is use ice – and a blindfold.”
Allen doesn’t believe in love at first sight but does believe in good connections, which will let love build gradually.
After a romantic career without any real prolonged relationships, Allen is “ready for love” – and hopes to wrangle it by being “more of a gentleman than a bad boy”.
“Nothing gets past me, I keep tricks up my sleeve and I’ll be ready for them all.”
