We’ve got some paw-sitive news to share with you all. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s world famous musical CATS is coming to Malta for the first time ever and we’re feline good just thinking about it.

In February 2019, for nine days only (spread over three weekends) at the newly refurbished Valletta Campus Theatre, you’ll be able to experience this musical extravaganza which has a cult following worldwide.

CATS started its debut in London’s West End 27 years ago, before launching in Broadway a year later. It went on to become the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history, picking up Best Musical at both the Laurence Olivier and Tony Awards, and being translated into 20 languages along the way.

Hoi Polloi Theatre Productions has rallied a talented troop consisting of some of the most sought after performers our Island has to offer. Rachel Fabri (Jesus Christ Superstar, Rock of Ages) will play the role of Grizabella, and Gilbert Delicata (Aida, La Traviata) as Old Deuteronomy.

If you don’t know the plot let me break it down to you in really quickly without giving anything away. Cats tells the story of a tribe of domestic cats on the night of the “Jellicle Ball”.

We cat wait!
