WATCH: Maltese Teenager Trolls Entire School In The Best Video You’ll See All Week
There’s nothing quite like being Maltese in a foreign country and having the liberty of saying whatever you want, and one Maltese teenager knows this all too well.
In a promo video for an Austrian International School, students from all over the world were asked to say “Welcome” in their own languages. 30 straight seconds of greetings later, it was the turn of Andrew, a Maltese boy who lives in Austria.
His greeting?
“X’ala żobbi.”
The quick and hilarious greeting comes at around the 34th second of the minute-long video, and even though it only lasts half a second, it’ll make you loop the whole thing over and over again.
What’s even more amazing is the look on the guy’s face. The Maltese teenager speaks fluent German, but when he found out that none of his students or teachers had ever heard of Malta before, he took his golden opportunity. If anyone’s been around a Maltese teenager before, they’ll instantly realise that Andrew is gearing up for something cheeky.
The teachers didn’t think of verifying the greetings with Google Translate, but after this episode, they should probably start doing so.
