WATCH: Is This The Hottest Maltese Chilli?
Team Lovin Malta has taken the phrase ‘spicing things up around the office’ to a whole new level with a challenge involving a tonne of Maltese-grown chillis.
The challenge was simple: plow through four galletti covered with chilli paste that increase in intensity while trying to answer basic questions. Sounds easy enough, no? No.
The pairs
1. Kira and Tim
Kira barely took a nibble of each but couldn’t take the heat. Tim ploughed through like a champ, but suffered for his bravery.
2. Chucky and Mike
Surprisingly calm to start off with, Chucky handled the heat with uncharacteristic dignity. Mike… less so.
3. Chris and Matthew
The duo turned to each other for support, and got through the pain together.
4. Luke and Tina
When she wasn’t getting turned on by Luke’s howls, Tina was suffering through the spice.
5. Dave and Johnathan
The cool cats of the crew, they handled the heat like absolute pros.
The pastes, made locally right down to the last ingredient, are by Talpe, a Maltese company looking to spice things up across the island.
