WATCH: This Hip-Hop Track Is The Real Election Anthem
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: what’s a campaign without a tune? Lovin Malta just has released a brand new track to promote www.whatfloatsyourvote.com, a crowd-funded website that helps voters start a conversation with the candidates in their district.
The hip-hop song is written and performed by No Bling Show’s star rapper Jon Mallia ft. Analise Mifsud, and is called Nitfghek Fuq Spallti U Niġri Bik. The whole thing was inspired by Lovin Malta’s manifesto which was launched on April Fools.
Due to the overwhelming response to the ideas set out in the 52-point mock manifesto, Lovin Malta managed to raise funds to launch an election campaign that helps promote the ideas as well as other proposals which were suggested by the public. The Lovin Malta campaign is centred around the website What Floats Your Vote, which is being promoted on social media, through a billboard and the new hip-hop track.
What Floats Your Vote allows voters to select their favourite proposals from Lovin Malta’s extended manifesto and email these ideas to the candidates running on their districts. Thousands of emails have already been sent out and many readers have reported getting decent responses from a number of the candidates. Have you tried it yet?
