WATCH: This Is The Most Badass Maltese Video You’ll Watch This Week
Teenage Maltese hip hop trio 215Collective steadily made waves on the island back in 2017 thanks to their seemingly endless repertoire of songs and music videos. The group is clearly not letting 2018 be an exception, because barely two weeks into the new year, a new music video has surfaced.
The brainchild of 215’s Eddie Fresco, WYA? continues off where the group’s familiar chilled hip hop sound left off last year, adding a singalong nature to it which will surely get the tune stuck in your head for the next couple of days. Get ready to add WYA (Where You At?), WYG (Where You Going?) and HYD (How You Doing?) to your instant acronym rotation.
What shines through in the three-minute video, however, is how, the director managed to make the streets of Malta look like something out of an American ghetto. And yes, we mean that in the best way possible.
Add to it all Eddie Fresco’s rapping while hanging out of a pimped-out BMW, and you’ve got your hands on a recipe for one of Malta’s most badass hip hop videos out there. And we’ve got Fabrizio Fenech, Mavric Said and Carlston Saliba to thank for that.
Of course, the whole thing was done under strict supervision and in a very quiet industrial estate, but needless to say; please don’t try this at home (or in the streets).
