WATCH: Jim Jefferies Returns From The Dead To Ask ‘What’s Going On In Malta?’

When a fake news site claiming to be Malta Today reported that the Australian comedian Jim Jefferies had died in Malta, the international comedy community was shocked and saddened by his loss.
However, news of his death may must have been premature, as the man returned to his show on Comedy Central with a new segment called “What’s Going On In Malta?”
Featuring a map of the country, a picture of a Maltese terrier, a couple of hookahs, and some generic folksy Mediterranean music, Jim hit back at the country that nearly killed him.

The death hoax in question

Saying that “in Malta they measure genius in a different way – in how many goat heads you can carry up a hill,” he took particular offence at the fact that the report had said he died in a Peugeot 307.

“I’m a working class guy, and I’m not saying I’m above been seen in a car like this…. But I’m above being seen in a car like this,” he said to the audience’s applause.
But then he continued onto the real core of his problem with the death hoax.
“Perhaps the most insulting thing is the screengrab they used of me,” he says, saying he had way better hungover pictures of himself at the airport.

A photo he would have preferred being used
He ends the segment by saying that he “won’t die until every petal falls of a rose they keep in Comedy Central.” Tbh, same.
