60 people have been arrested in the last few days for immigration-related crimes, including living and/or working in the country irregularly.

The arrested persons were taken to a detention centre where the preparations for their return to their countries of origin or to a country in which they have permission to reside have commenced.

For some of these inspections, the Police were assisted by officers from the Detention Services Agency.

Officials explained that enforcement related to migration will continue in the coming days including coordinated work by the Police Force together with other entities.
