A motorcyclist lost his life in a late-night Sliema Crash in Tower Road, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday.

The 45-year-old Italian lost control of his vehicle, skidded, and ended up hitting the pavement on impact.

A medical team was called onto the site of the accident but he was unfortunately classified as dead immediately.

Police investigations are underway.
