‘Her Soul Was A Beautiful Sunflower’: Pop-Up Thrift In Memory Of Kristina Zivanovic This Sunday In Rabat

A pop-up thrift in memory of Kristina Zivanovic is happening this weekend in Rabat with proceeds going toward abandoned animals.

The organisers behind the pop-up decided to dedicate it to Kristina, who tragically lost her life in a traffic accident in August, combining two things that she cherished.

“We wanted to honor Kristina’s legacy by combining two things that she loved and had a great passion for – her love of fashion and her love for animals,” organiser Jeanine Rodgers Scerri told Lovin Malta.

“Allowing people who cared for her and shared beautiful memories with her to gather whilst also raising money for the Association for Abandoned Animals and letting people shop sustainably is our way of keeping that legacy alive.”

“Sunflowers always find the sun, and her soul was one beautiful sunflower, that’s why we’re trying to find the light again in such dark situations – and this is our way of doing it. Celebrating Kristina’s beautiful life,” she continued.

This is the third pop-up organised by The Groove, and this time it’s going to be hosted at Cicco’s PN Club in Rabat.

Vendors are currently being announced on the Facebook event, including Jovana from Cherrystone and Neil’s Used Shit.

The event kicks off at 11am and is set to go on until 5pm, and attendees are also being encouraged to bring instruments with them and jam out.
