Watch: Maltese Latin Dancers Feature On BBC International Dance Documentary

A Maltese professional Latin dance couple recently featured in a BBC documentary after taking part in the international Blackpool Dance Festival.
Laurence Tanti and Consuela Camilleri took part in the Blackpool Dance Festival World Championships, placing 31st out of 100 couples.
“We are truly honoured to be part of the BBC documentary about the Blackpool Dance Festival featuring Latin & Ballroom Dancing. It’s such an amazing feeling to see the Malta Flag on that competition dance floor,” Tanti told Lovin Malta.
“It gives us goosebumps! Our goal is to put Malta on the International Map. We will continue to work hard to achieve this!” he expressed.
The couple was also recently ranked 20th in the world in the professional Latin dance category, by the World Dance Council.
The professional dance couple has represented Malta in a number of international competitions, and after their achievement, they were invited to perform in front of ex-world champions and International Dance Legends.
In the following months, the couple is going to be competing in a number of competitions, all through the months of January.
“Next week we are going to compete in the Roma Open Dance Cup along with our students, followed by three days of intense training in Rome with ex-world champions. In October, we will then be competing at the UK International Championships, which is held at the Royal Albert Hall.”
“In November, we will be competing at the Assen World Championships and in December we will be competing in Poland. Then January we will be competing in the United Kingdom Open Championships which is held at the Bournemouth International Centre,” he shared.
