Metal scaffolding situated next to a hotel in Mellieħa collapsed onto the road nearby.

The incident occurred along Triq George Borg Olivier Street.

A police spokesperson told Lovin Malta that thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the incident. 

Photos sent to Lovin Malta this morning show the collapsed scaffolding taking up the road.

The collapse happened right next to one of Mellieħa’s busiest roads which is often packed with traffic and tourists.
