PN Heavyweights Flock To Il-Barri Restaurant To Eat Rabbit After Boycott Calls
A group of PN heavyweights, including party leader Bernard Grech himself, have just flocked to the recently-targetted Il-Barri restaurant for a quick rabbit lunch.
At the moment, Grech, together with Adrian Delia, Rebekah Borg, Michael Piccinino, Alex Perici Calascione, Ian Vassallo, Ryan Callus, and Charles Azzopardi, are all having a chat with the owner of Il-Barri restaurant, Stephen.
“We leave no one behind,” Grech wrote on Facebook, sharing a photo with the owner.
This comes after an avid Labour supporter, Matthew Bongailas, made a public call for the boycott of the restaurant, after the owner was spotted at the latest PN protest against the Vitals-Steward deal.
It’s safe to say that the calls backfired, and ended up sparking nationwide interest, with many PN MPs and even Ministers supporting the restaurant owner’s right to free speech.
The day after, PN MP Eve Borg Bonello said that she can’t wait to dine there herself in the next week, condemning the boycott calls.
And just yesterday, Minister Ian Borg showed his support for the owner, saying that he can’t wait for a good fenek sometime soon.
