PN MP Calls For Rosianne Cutajar To Be Sacked After Damning Leaked Whatsapp Chats With Yorgen Fenech
PN MP Eve Borg Bonello has called for Rosianne Cutajar’s resignation from the parliamentary group following a slew of damning leaked Whatsapp chats with alleged murderer Yorgen Fenech.
“A resignation is the bare minimum after so many breaches of conduct, ethics, gifts, and thousands of € stemming from her alleged relationship with a crime and mafia boss who allegedly ordered the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia,” Borg Bonello said.
The alleged chats were published by author and ex-Labourite Mark Camilleri, who released hundreds of WhatsApp message transcripts on his blog yesterday.
The chats date from June to September 2019, a few months before Fenech was arrested and charged with the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Borg Bonello has warned that after this leak, Cutajar’s position in parliament is “untenable”, calling upon Prime Minister Robert Abela to expel her.
“I call on Robert Abela the Prime Minister and leader of the Partit Laburista to do the right thing and expel the dishonoured MP from the parliamentary group and the Labour Party if he truly believes in decency.”
“If not, he’s allowing the central mantra of his government to continue to be ‘kullħadd jitħanżer’ with the usual impunity.”
Following Mark Camilleri’s damning leak of chats, Rosianne Cutajar’s lawyers have asked the courts, Attorney General, and police to intervene and take action against the author.
