Roberta Metsola Meets Inspiring Kate Ferriggi In Special Meeting At European Parliament

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola shared a heartwarming moment with Kate Ferriggi, a resilient young Maltese girl suffering from a one in seven million syndrome, during a special meeting at the European Parliament.

Metsola described Kate as an “impressive, resilient young girl” whose “contagious smile spreads positivity and joy” to everyone around her, including the people of Malta and Gozo.

Kate, who was in Belgium receiving treatment for the rare medical condition Tatton Brown Rahmann Syndrome, was invited to the European Parliament along with her parents to discuss raising awareness about the daily challenges she faces.

Metsola emphasised the importance of supporting families like Kate’s, who are navigating the difficult journey of managing rare conditions.

“A very special meeting: with Kate, an impressive, resilient, young girl whose contagious smile spreads positivity and joy not only with those close to her, but with the people of Malta and Gozo whom she loves so much,” the EP President wrote.

The meeting highlighted the need for greater societal support for those in similar situations, with Metsola calling on everyone to be a #VoiceForKate and show solidarity with this extraordinary young girl as her family continues to share her inspiring story.
