Shit Gays Are Tired of Hearing in Malta
May 17th marks the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, now known as IDAHOT. Over the years we’ve seen a huge improvement in LGBT rights in Malta, so much so that we’ve been awarded the top spot on ILGA’s Rainbow Map (and we even have the zebra crossings to prove it).
But despite all the progress we’ve made in terms of legislation, there’s still loads of phrases the LGBT community in Malta is simply tired of hearing.
Joking aside, for anyone out there who needs help, or even just someone to talk to, there’s loads of support to be found.
- We Are – the University of Malta’s LGBT society
- Malta Gay Rights Movement (MGRM)
- Drachma Parents – a group for parents of LGBT children (check out the book they’ve just launched today)
