Watch: ‘Jaqq, Foxx Il-Pufti’ Voyeur Video Of TikToker Refuelling In Floriana Slammed For Being Homophobic
Maltese TikToker Marston Farrugia, @theoneandonlymarston, has shared footage of a person who filmed him without his consent – and uploaded the footage alongside homophobic comments.
In the video, Marston was refuelling his car at a fuel pump in Floriana. The man filming the video passes comments like “jaq” and “foxx il-pufti”.
Marston reacted to the video in a new TikTok – and the reaction has already racked up over 25,000 views.
Lovin Malta spoke with Marston after his reaction video started to gain traction online.
“This homophobia needs to stop sooner rather than later, although it’s easier said than done. I’m aware that there are many members of the LGBTIQ+ community that experience this type of bullying, or even worse, but I believe that someday we’ll get somewhere,” Marston said.
“I believe this video was simply a joke for the individual, but the words he said hurt, especially when you’ve heard them a number of times,” he continued.
“The video was taken at the Floriana pumping station. I am seen refuelling in it and I was not causing any inconvenience to anyone and I did not even speak to this guy,” he explained.
“Saying ‘foxx il-pufti’ is hate speech,” Marston continued.

“I don’t think that it was necessary for such a video to be taken,” he pointed out.
Marston considered following a similar route as the man who recorded him – whom he names in his video – but instead, decided to let it slide.
This isn’t the first time Marston spoke out over issues in Malta’s LGBTIQ+ community, with his TikTok account garnering over 11,000 followers.
Do you think homophobia continues to be an issue in Malta?
