Architectural Digest, one of the foremost American publications on style, architecture, and interior design, has just released it’s Top 20 Places to Travel in 2018 – and Valletta was ranked as one of those places.

The list was compiled by industry experts from around the world, and looked at specific cities around the world that were going to make a global mark in 2018.

The list looked at the history of the UNESCO World city, the architectural highlights found within, and the event calendar for the year as the 2018 European Capital of Culture.

With over 400 events and 140 projects by 1,000 local and international artists planned for the city throughout the year, it’s no surprise that Valletta made the list alongside international cities like Hong Kong, Mexico City, and Toronto

Malta has been on a roll recently, taking home top prizes for everything from the laid-back lifestyle to the incredible scuba diving spots, and now its capital city’s architecture is getting the recognition it deserves.
