Leading Maltese Digital Finance Portal Wins Best App In E-Business Awards After Less Than A Year
Moneybase has won the award for Best App in the Tech.mt e-Business Awards – just a day before its first-ever anniversary!
“Since launching less than a year ago, we have been dedicated to offering the highest standards possible,” CEO and founder Alan Cuschieri said at the awards ceremony.
“We continue to see encouraging results, and I would like to thank our customers for their continuous support – as well as the passionate team behind such a successful product that has received such a warm welcome in the community at large.”
Moneybase is the first local digital payments app – which allows users to send each other payments directly and free of charge through their phone’s contacts list.
The app offers a growing customer base of 35,000 users an ever-widening list of features such as the possibility of creating physical and virtual Mastercards, benefitting from competitive currency exchange rates, freezing or unfreezing cards, and ATM withdrawals.
The company was founded by Calamatta Cuschieri – a leading financial planning firm – and has emphasised their user friendliness and focus on delivering swift and efficient customer service.
This is the second award given to Moneybase in its fairly short business lifespan of one year – having been named Best Financial Institution at the Malta Business Awards in October.
The e-Business Awards is an annual event established in 2011, which seeks to acknowledge the unique and innovative ideas and initiatives utilising web-based tech benefitting society at large. These awards are organised by the public-private partnership Tech.mt.
The company recently introduced Moneybase Invest – with which users can invest on the Malta Stock Exchange as well as tap into over 40 international markets with over 20,000 stocks.
The platform offers fractional shares and extended hours trading, providing the advantage of an extra nine and a half hours of US market access – for all those speculative traders looking to put in the hours and earn themselves an early retirement.
At the awards show, Cuschieri teased some “exciting features” being announced later this year before concluding, “We humbly continue our journey to make money simple”.
Well done Moneybase!
