Christmas Day Fire At Gozo Hospital Sees 59 Patients Evacuated
A Christmas day fire that occurred in the late hours of the evening at Gozo’s General Hospital saw 59 patients evacuated from their wards.
On Sunday evening at around 9pm, a fire broke out in an IT room of the hospital, leading to an emergency evacuation of patients and staff.
The Civil Protection Department immediately stepped in to control the flames, and thankfully, no one was injured in the fire.
The patients were all returned safely back to their rooms in the early hours of the morning.
