A 76-year-old man has lost his life after falling one storey into a reservoir in Siġġiewi.

Police were informed of the incident which took place at 8.15am today in Triq Ħal Farruġ.

The Police went immediately to the scene where from a preliminary survey it turned out the man who lives in Mqabba was found in an empty reservoir.

A medical team and members from Civil Protection Department arrived on the scene to assist, however, the man was certified to have died on the scene.
