Two people have been arrested in connection to a string of thefts in Malta and Gozo.

The two suspects, a 29-year-old man from Qormi and a 31-year-old woman from Siġġiewi, were charged with stealing money from shops in Xewkija and Għajnsielem in Gozo, as well as electronics from another store in Rabat.

On the same night, the pair allegedly stole money from an ATM in a Xewkija car wash and a stolen bike in Rabat.

Investigations linked the pair of suspects to a stolen vehicle in Qormi, which was used during the robberies in Gozo and another car in Mellieħa. Back in Malta on the night of the crime, the pair allegedly robbed a kiosk in Ċirkewwa.

Investigations are underway.
