A dead body has been discovered in Għasri, with local police officers determining what led to the death.

The body was found at around 10.30am in a home in Triq il-Knisja, Għasri, with the man believed to have died early this morning.

The man, aged 60, was found with visible head injuries, police noted. Officials tried to save the man when he was discovered, but he was determined to be dead on the scene.

Forensic officials are on site to determine whether foul play was involved in the death, with investigations underway to understand the dynamics behind the death – and whether third parties were involved.
