‘He Dragged Her Out Like A Doll’: Eyewitness Describes Horrific Scene Right Before Bernice Cassar Murder
An eyewitness who was situated in the MCAST Paola building at the time of Bernice Cassar’s murder has given his shocking description of the situation.
The recent developments emerged during today’s hearing, as the compilation of evidence against murder suspect Roderick Cassar continued this morning.
At the time, around 7am, the eyewitness had been talking with a colleague when he noticed something questionable was going on outside.
“He dragged her out of the car like she was a doll. He was slapping her in the face, almost as if he was trying to bring her back to her senses,” the MCAST worker said in court.
The woman then started calling for help, and it was at this point that the worker called 112 for assistance, however, he, unfortunately, heard gunshots shortly after.
The aggressor then reportedly drove off at a high speed, leaving Bernice laying at the side of the road where she was then found shortly after.
The worker also detailed that he had heard cries for help and witnessed a man trying to intervene to help, who was sent away by Roderick.
Bernice Cassar, a mother of two young children, was brutally murdered in cold blood by her ex-partner. She had repeatedly filed reports related to domestic violence to Malta’s police prior to the murder.
