We still don’t know their motives, or what they were hoping to achieve. But we did get a glimpse of what the hijackers looked like. Dressed in suits, the two men were tall, dark and slim. They didn’t look like menacing terrorists. They could have been politicians. And judging by their symbolic action of wielding only a green flag, their intentions might have been purely political. But their stunt caused chaos this afternoon as 118 lives were put in danger and the whole world watched with bated breath. Among the onlookers was legendary local photographer Darrin Zammit Lupi of international news agency Reuters who shared these shots with Lovin Malta of the moment the hijackers surrendered.
